Civonus - Brand Strategy and Website Copy

The Client: Civonus is a relatively new enterprise on a mission to transform the world. Founded by Robert Hughes, it is the world’s first digital policy-making platform, designed to harness the wisdom of the crowd and empower today’s leaders to make the best decisions for tomorrow.

The Challenge: In 2024, Robert hired me to craft a brand strategy and website messaging. The existing website messaging was minimal. It did not communicate how Civonus could help potential clients (e.g. government leaders) and end users (e.g. citizens) find better solutions to the problems facing their communities. Nor did it communicate how the policy-making platform works. Civonus’ vision, mission and values were also not delineated on the website.

The Solution: I led Robert through my signature brand strategy process. Given the complex concepts underpinning his innovative policy-making platform, I focused on crafting messaging that conveyed the positive outcomes achievable through the digital policy-making platform. Additionally, we got crystal clear on the vision, mission, and values that define Civonus as an integral component of the brand position and messaging.

The result is a website that clearly answers two key questions: 1. ‘what is Civonus and why should I use it?’ and 2. ‘how does better policy-making create a better future?’
